Dispute a Parking Ticket in Your City

We support parking ticket disputes across 13 Ontario cities. Select your city to see local dispute details, deadlines, and get started.

Ontario municipalities often resolve parking tickets through an Administrative Penalty System instead of a court process. That means your first step is usually a local screening review, where you explain the facts, upload evidence, and ask a municipal screening officer to cancel, reduce, or confirm the penalty.

City selection matters because every municipality publishes its own procedures, portals, deadlines, and bylaw references. Ajax, Brampton, Hamilton, Kitchener, London, Markham, Mississauga, Oshawa, Ottawa, Toronto, Vaughan, Whitby, and Windsor all share the broad APS idea, but the details can vary. Some cities use a 15-day dispute window, while Kitchener, Windsor, and Oshawa provide different initial timing. Extension windows also vary by city.

If you are unsure which guide to use, check the city name, issuing authority, or payment portal printed on the parking ticket. Choose the city that issued the notice, not the city where you live. Each city guide links to a local dispute path and helps you prepare a self-help package for your own review. Beat My Ticket is informational only and is not legal advice.
